About Rafting Ubud
A guide for your morning on the Ayung
Rafting Ubud is an independent guide for everyone planning to raft the Ayung River near Ubud in Bali. Here you will find how the half-day trip from Kedewatan works, how the rafting listings compare, whether rafting is dangerous and what river grades mean, what a trip costs, the age and weight limits, how the Ayung runs from the mountains to the sea, what to wear and bring, how the Telaga Waja in east Bali compares, which months and hours suit the river, and whether to add an ATV ride.
The site is available in English and five additional languages. It is written first in English.
How we research
Every number on our pages comes from a source that we link to at the bottom of the page: mostly Indonesia Travel, the site of Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism, the International Rafting Federation and the encyclopaedic entries on the rivers and on river grading, with NASA POWER model estimates for the Ayung valley for the climate, and day length we calculate ourselves. Information on tours, that is duration, languages, inclusions, age limits and starting prices, is taken from the offers on GetYourGuide.
A river is not the same every day: rain changes the water, and operators set their own rules on age, fitness and timing. Listings also differ in what they include, pickup and lunch above all, and in how many steps lead down to the river. That is why we tell you plainly what a listing states and what it leaves open.
How we make money
Rafting Ubud is funded through the GetYourGuide affiliate program. When you book through one of our links, we receive a commission; your price remains the same. There are no advertising banners here, and we do not sell your data.
